DOWNTOWN ROSEBURG STREETSCAPE PROJECT

DOWNTOWN ROSEBURG STREETSCAPE PROJECT

i.e. Engineering designed and managed the City of Roseburg’s most significant downtown street improvement and beautification projects in many years. The project had and met multiple goals: to meet new ADA standards, create a unique and easily replicated streetscape, improve parking and enhance the visitor experience. i.e. Engineering facilitated public involvement meetings at the beginning stages of the project which included city hall meetings and open house presentations. Among the more unique features of the final project improvements were new pedestrian-friendly and decorative concrete raised intersections, interpretive signage/wayfinding kiosks, curved benches, new street trees, bike racks and stainless steel sidewalk inserts which highlight the community’s history and recreational assets.
